Elena Pirozhkova is a highly accomplished wrestler, having spent 10 years on Team USA and ranking No. 1 at 63 kg in the 2016-17 Team USA Ranking. She is a two-time Olympian (8th place in 2012 and 5th place in 2016), 2012 World Champion, 2010 and 2014 World silver medalist, and eight-time U.S. Open champion, among other notable career achievements.
 
Pirozhkova was born in Russia and moved to the U.S. when she was three years old. She was raised in Massachusetts and grew up in a family of nine children. Though she came from humble beginnings, she credits the people in her life for giving her opportunities at success. 
 
Due to her experiences, Pirozhkova feels strongly about seeing girls have the same opportunities that she had. Outside of coaching young female wrestlers, Pirozhkova is currently pursuing a Chiropractic and Naturopathic Doctorate.
