Beat The Streets - New York City Wrestling

Kirk is currently the Sales Leader for General Electric's solar energy business. He began his career at Time Warner and Yahoo! before pursuing his passion for education, teaching 20th Century American History and coaching football, wrestling, and lacrosse. While teaching the role of oil in World War II, he began researching bio fuels which led him to the study of renewable energy. He caught the solar bug and has spent the last seven years developing solar projects for Fortune 500 companies, REIT’s, manufacturers, the Federal government, municipal governments and educational institutions.

Kirk grew up in Manhattan and learned to wrestle at the Buckley School, under the great coach Bill Trauth. He attended Deerfield Academy, where he was a New England Champion at 145 lbs and captain of the New England Champion wrestling team. He received a BA in History from Trinity College in Hartford, CT.

Kirk believes strongly in wrestling as a metaphor for life and sees it as a profound character building tool for young people involved in athletics today. He is excited for the opportunity to help grow and guide BTS in its life-changing mission here in NYC.
