Shannon formally joined Beat the Streets in August of 2012 after arriving in New York earlier that summer and volunteering her services. Prior to moving, she spent four years at the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in Stillwater, Oklahoma working as an administrative assistant, helping to preserve the history and promote participation in the sport.

Although not a wrestler herself, as the daughter of a former collegiate wrestling coach, she has been involved with the sport for her entire life. Years of observing her father teach and motivate student athletes taught her the values and work ethic necessary to be successful in life. She is excited to be a part of sharing those values through the mission of Beat the Streets.

Shannon graduated from Oklahoma State University in December 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Marketing. At Beat the Streets, she is responsible for coordinating all of the administrative functions of the office.
