The 2017 PSAL Wrestling Dual Meet Championships will kick off on Wednesday, February 1st, with the Boys preliminary round matches and the Blended quarterfinal round match ups.

In the Boys Division, Petrides earned the top seed and Brooklyn Tech, 2017 Mayor’s Cup Tournament Champions, is seeded second. W.C. Bryant (#5), Eagle Academy (#6), James Madison (#7) and Benjamin Cardozo (#8) round out the top eight seeds. Winners from the preliminary round will advance to the February 8th quarterfinal round. The semifinals are scheduled for February 14th with the PSAL Champion being crowned on Thursday, February 16th.

In the Blended Division, returning champions Bronx Science pulled in the top seed and will host Townsend Harris in the quarterfinal match. Curtis, a team that did not qualify for the playoffs last year, is back with a roar in securing the second seed and will host fellow Staten Island team CSI in the quarterfinals. Seward Park, who entered last year’s playoffs as the eighth  seed, jumped up several notches this season and earned the third seed-- they will host Queens High School Complex in the quarterfinals. The final quarterfinal match-up will feature Port Richmond, the fourth seed, hosting Bronx Studios School. All quarter final winners will advance to the February 8th semifinals. The championship finals are scheduled for Thursday, February 16th.
