He is an eight-time Senior Greek National Champion, a two-time Junior National Champion, and has received second and third place at World Junior Championships. He has received second place at both World University Championship and the World Military Games.
Kostas Koutsioumpas is also a Greco-Roman wrestler and a Cadet, Junior, and Senior Greek National Champion. He is a PhD student at UMass Boston’s School for Global Inclusion and Social Development and researches the intersection between sports and social justice.
“Giorgos and Kostas come from a family of Greek wrestlers and are among the best in the Greco-Roman discipline,” said BTS Executive Director Brendan Buckley. “We’re honored to host them here in the US and to have them work with our kids at Beat the Streets.”
