Chris Placca

Chris Placca is the Head of Finance and a Managing Director of the Infrastructure group, and he currently oversees the Valuations, Financial Planning and Analysis, Operations and Accounting teams for Infrastructure. Since joining Blackstone, Placca has been involved in administrative, accounting, tax and financial reporting matters for Blackstone's infrastructure and private equity funds.

Before joining Blackstone in 2010, Placca was the U. S. Controller at Apax Partners, L. P., a London based private equity firm, where he was primarily involved in fund management, administration and financial reporting for its U. S. private equity funds and well as financial reporting and daily operations for the U. S. management Company. Prior to that, Placca was a Vice President at CCMP Capital Advisors, a New York based private equity firm. Placca was involved in deal execution, funds administration and operational issues.

How has the sport of wrestling changed/enhanced your life?
- The impact wrestling has had on me, and my boys has been incredible to witness. I’ve seen my boys grow in ways I couldn’t imagine. I feel this sport truly prepares them for life. I have no doubt at some point in their life they will reflect and recognize all they received from sport well and above any big matches won or lost. Coming into this sport as an adult through my kids I’ve been able to use many of the wrestling rewards to help me be a better father/husband/son and friend.

Why did you decide to join our Board?
- I’ve been looking to give back to the community however, I was looking for something I was passionate about that also makes a lasting impact on the children it serves, BTS meets that and more!
