Jaimie Nawaday is a co-head of the Government Enforcement and Internal Investigations Group and partner in the Litigation Department at Seward & Kissel, LLP. Nawaday also served more than seven years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York in the Criminal and Civil Divisions.
Nawaday earned a J.D., manga cum laude, from Cornell Law School, and a B.A. in philosophy and religious studies from Wheaton College.
Nawaday's interest in wrestling stems from her two daughters being active in the BTS program and participants in the sport at a Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL) school in New York City.
Why did you join the BTS Board of Directors?
"I've seen the tremendous impact wrestling has had on both of my daughters, and I was hooked from my first girls' wrestling tournament. The grit, resilience, and strength those girls show translate to so many other aspects of their lives.
Wrestling changes the way girls move through the world, and I believe it is one of the most transformative experiences teen girls can have. I wanted to join the BTS Board to help them as they extend wrestling opportunities to all kids, regardless of background, and to help promote the growth of girls and women's wrestling."
