Four Beat the Streets New York Academy student-athletes won individual titles at the NYC Mayor's Cup Wrestling Championships on Saturday at Harry S Truman High School.

Botensky Bauzile (Thomas Edison) claimed his second straight "Best in the City" championship in the boys division. Alexis Elson (Riverdale Kingsbridge Academy), Alessandra Elliott (Tottenville) and Ariel Ofri-Akman (Bronx Science) captured their first as the girls division made its return this year. Elson took second place at last year's tournament competing against boys.

BTSNY Academy members Robert Dizengof (Midwood), Devone Bogie (Eagle Academy for Young Men), Marielys Lugo (Bathgate) and Destiny Gibson-Brown (RKA) each took second.

Sponsored by Cliff Keen, Beat the Streets hosted the 19th annual tournament which included New York City's best high school wrestlers from the Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL), Athletic Association for Independent Schools (AAIS), Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA) and New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS).

Four champions were also named most outstanding wrestler for their respective association: Dylan Pipitone of Tottenville (PSAL boys), Beautiful Robinson of MLK (PSAL girls), Kyle Jacobs of Monsignor Farrell (CHSAA) and Sean Tansey of Collegiate (NYSIAS). Tansey also won the award last year.

Monsignor Farrell won the boys team title with 194 points. Eagle Academy (140.5) and Tottenville (135.5) were second and third, respectively. Tottenville claimed the girls team crown with 88 points ahead of Harry S Truman (66) and Brooklyn Tech (63).

Donations to BTSNY in support of the NYC Mayor's Cup along with dedicated volunteers and members of the NYC wrestling community helped make the tournament possible for student-athletes.
