Beat the Streets Annual Benefit to feature 3 gold medalists from 2022 Pan American Championships
Jordan Burroughs, Kyle Dake and Sarah Hildebrandt each captured a title, while Kayla Miracle took silver.
Three of the seven 2021 World and 2020 Olympic medalists that will compete at the 2022 Beat the Streets Annual Benefit, Final X New York, won gold in their respective weight class this past weekend at the Pan American Championships.
In men's freestyle, Kyle Dake (74 kilograms) claimed his second Pan Am gold and Jordan Burroughs (79 kg) won his fifth. Sarah Hildebrandt (50kg) outscored her opponents 30-0 for her sixth Pan Am title and earned the Golden Boot as the Outstanding Wrestler among the women.
Kayla Miracle (62kg) took silver after she defaulted the final to Canada's under-23 World champion Ana Godinez.
The three other 2021 World and 2020 Olympic medalists that will compete at Final X New York on June 8 at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden did not compete at the Pan Am Championships. Those wrestlers are David Taylor (86kg in men's freestyle), Helen Maroulis (57kg in women's freestyle) and G'Angelo Hancock (97kg in Greco-Roman).
The seven medalists earned the right to advance directly to Final X New York. The Final X opponent for each declared athlete will be determined at the World Team Trials Challenge Tournament May 21-22 at Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa.
Final X New York will serve as the 12th Beat the Streets Annual Benefit. These unique and electrifying annual events help Beat the Streets New York raise millions of dollars to support local youth wrestling programs which empower young people in New York City.
There are a variety of ticket options for Final X New York, beginning at $65 so you don't miss the first in-person Benefit since 2019. Purchase your wrestling-only event tickets on Ticketmaster.
