Beat the Streets New York Academy application opens for 2023-24 season
The application process is open until Sept. 17 for New York City middle school and high school student-athletes.
Beat the Streets New York is now accepting applications for its free-of-cost Academy program for the 2023-24 school year.
The Academy is for New York City middle school and high school student-athletes looking to succeed in wrestling, graduate high school and pursue post-secondary study. The program will meet from 5-7:30 p.m. every Thursday from Sept. 28 to Nov. 16.
Academy nights will feature a guest speaker and a wrestling practice session. Guest speakers cover important life skills and leadership topics to help student-athletes excel off the mat. Past clinicians and speakers have included former Olympic champions, U.S. World Championship team members, NCAA men's and women's coaches and champions and more!
Even though Academy nights are during the fall, Academy members will receive benefits from the program throughout the school year.

Since being founded in 2005, Beat the Streets New York has pioneered a movement that now includes 150 individual wrestling programs, a youth league and the first girls high school league.
BTSNY works to develop the full human and athletic potential of the urban youth and strengthen the New York City wrestling culture. We aim to make a lifelong impact on student-athletes through the lessons learned on the wrestling mat -- discipline, perseverance, self-reliance, humility and a strong work ethic.
