Beat the Streets New York announces partnership with Jersey Mike's Subs

The fast-casual sub sandwich franchise is the official sponsor of the BTSNY's Academy program.

Beat the Streets Wrestling New York (BTSNY) and Jersey Mike's Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, have agreed to a partnership to make the fast-casual sub sandwich franchise the official sponsor for Beat the Streets New York's Academy program.

“We are elated to receive this level of support from Jersey Mike’s, a household name in the state of New Jersey where wrestling is an important sport,” BTSNY Executive Director Brendan Buckley said. “We appreciate Jersey Mike’s providing Beat the Streets with the resources we need to continue impacting the youth we serve in New York City. We look forward to this partnership and are incredibly grateful for their support.”

Through this partnership, Jersey Mike's will provide lunches and assist in funding resources for BTSNY Academy student-athletes. Launched in 2019, the Academy aims to prepare New York City boys and girls student-athletes for success on and off the wrestling mat. The application-only program provides free-of-cost resources such as SAT prep, one-on-one tutoring, college readiness workshops, college visits, travel competition opportunities and additional wrestling practices led by World- and Olympic-caliber athletes and coaches.

As part of the agreement, Jersey Mike's will enjoy significant brand exposure through signage at the 2023 BTSNY Annual Benefit. Additionally, Jersey Mike's will receive promotion through BTSNY's Annual Report and social media channels.

Since being founded in 2005, Beat the Streets New York has pioneered a movement that now includes 150 individual wrestling programs, a youth league and the first girls high school league.
