BTS Competes at 2021 Tyrant Columbus Day Open
11 student-athletes place in the top three
Beat the Streets student-athletes stepped on the mat for another competition this past Saturday at the Tyrant Columbus Day Open in Manheim, Pennsylvania.
All student-athletes competed in the 18U division, with 11 competitors placing top-three in their respective weight class.
According to BTS Head Boy's Coach Barry Hart, the student-athletes showed clear improvements at the tournament.
"We've seen improvements technically and mentally across the board: moving our hands and feet, fighting in positions, clearing our wrist from bottom, and getting to our feet," said Hart. "Our higher-level kids performed well, and our upcoming kids showed fight."
