Ultimate fan guide to Beat the Streets New York Annual Benefit, Final X
Thirty weight classes will be contested in a best-of-three series to determine Team USA members at the 2023 World Championships.
The Beat the Streets New York Annual Benefit, Final X, has arrived, carrying with it a single-day wrestling spectacle unlike any we have seen before in the U.S. Here is all the important information you will need to follow the event this weekend.
When and Where
Final X will be at Prudential Center, the home of the NHL New Jersey Devils, with doors opening at Noon (ET). Wrestling will begin at 12:30 p.m. (ET) in Newark, N.J. and will run until approximately 9 p.m. A complete schedule of events and list of matchups can be found below.
What to Expect
On tap for the event are best-of-three series to determine the 2023 U.S. World Team, true third matches that will establish the 2023 U.S. National Team, premier high school exhibition matches and Beat the Streets student-athlete exhibition matches.
The main event best-of-three Final X series in men’s freestyle, women’s freestyle and Greco-Roman will be in two distinct sessions. Round one matches will be at 2 p.m. followed by round two matches and, if necessary, round three matches starting at 6 p.m. These matches will be contested in weight class order, starting with the lightest weight in each style and working up to the heaviest weight.
Those in attendance should note the placement of each mat. All men’s freestyle matches will take place on the center mat. The women’s freestyle matches will run on the North end of the arena in front of sections 7 and 20. The Greco-Roman mat is located on the South end of the arena in front of sections 9 and 18.
