Four BTS Alumni Qualify for 2021 NCWWC Women’s Nationals
Nia Crosdale, Sophia Mirabella, Naomi Henry, Kai Poux qualify for NCAA Nationals
Four Beat the Streets alumni punched their tickets to the Cliff Keen National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Championships (NCWWC) at their respective regional qualifiers this past weekend.
At the Southeast Qualifier, Nia Crosdale and Sophia Mirabella — both of King University — placed second and third at 170 and 116 pounds, respectively.
At the Northeast Qualifier, Naomi Henry of New Jersey City University placed third at 130 pounds.
At the Southwest Qualifer, Kai Poux of Fontbonne University placed fourth at 191 pounds.
The NCWWC, which is set for Saturday, March 6 at Tiffin University in Tiffin, Ohio, will be the second annual national championship event held for NCAA women’s wrestling programs.

Southeast Qualifier (170 lbs) Nia Crosdale, 2nd place — Truman High School (116 lbs) Sophia Mirabella, 3rd place — Academy of American Studies
Northeast Qualifier (130 lbs) Naomi Henry, 3rd place — Wingate High School
Southwest Qualifier (191 lbs) Kai Poux, 4th place — Brooklyn Tech High School
