Dorothy Ruderman

Dorothy Ruderman is a Data Strategist at Verition Fund Management, a multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund based out of Greenwich, Conn. Previously, she was Global Director of Industry at Similarweb, overseeing the Global Financial Services Solutions business, enabling systematic and fundamental use cases to integrate alternative data into their investment decision processes, leveraging the application of machine learning and advanced quantitative methods. Before joining Similarweb, she was Director of Sales at Facteus and Head of Data Partnerships at StockTwits. Dorothy has developed an integral understanding of quantitative research and the alternative data space through a collaborative application of data science, product development, sales enablement, and product marketing.

Dorothy’s interest in wrestling began at a young age through her late father and Belorussian wrestler Roman Ruderman; a 10-time Belarusian national champion, Polish men’s Olympic freestyle team coach, and USA Wrestling coach. While always close to the sport, her direct involvement grew as she became active in her father’s nonprofit organization Wrestling Bridge to Peace, a summer camp program through which young wrestlers were given the opportunity to travel to Olympic training centers throughout eastern Europe where Roman once trained. She credits her successes and the opportunities she has been given to her parent’s immigration journey to which wrestling was the impetus. Today, she continues to be an active member of the wrestling community, supporting multiple Division 1 Men's programs and is very passionate about growing women’s wrestling at the collegiate level and beyond.

Dorothy studied Economics and Sociology at Lehigh University.
